What can I do to get rid of lower back pain?
Question by Alex J: What can I do to get rid of lower back pain?
For a little over a week now I have had some lower back pain and it isn’t going away. I’ve tried taking tylenol and medications like that but nothing seems to be helping. Any ideas that could help this back pain?

Answer by Richard CAlex, you just don’t give enough specific information to give an answer as to why the problem. I would suggest that you try these movements as they should help most lower back problems. Sit in a kitchen chair and do these movements even if they don’t seem related to you back issues. Raise the left arm up as high as it can go and then relax it. Do the right arm the same way and you will find that one arm will go up higher. Start

Answer by Dennis PYou have to learn what works for you…I personally stopped taking the pain meds and have stuck to aspirin. (L4 & L5 herniated discs) Light activity for me is good… A lot of walking etc. but when I over do it, my back lets me know.

Hello, there. You know how sometimes all the pain from the day collects when you tuck in bed ready to sleep. Sometimes, I have lower back pain as I lay in bed. What is the best position to sleep? What is this new stabbing pain in the middle upper left side of my back?
Question by MandyPW: What is this new stabbing pain in the middle upper left side of my back?
I have suffered from chronic back pain for three years now. I am 31, not overweight, and did not have an injury! I had disc replacement surgury on L4-5 about a year and a half ago with no success. Discography shows that the L5-S1 is not healthy and may be the cause of continued pain. In the past few months I have developed left leg pain and numbness with very bad hip pain as well. This stabbing in my left side (on the back) has just happened and is just aweful when I wake up in the morning. No position helps! Is this a muscle? I can locate it straight away with my left hand reaching back and it hurts to the touch.
